Golf
Carna Bay Hotel is ideally located for golf with the famous Connemara Links Course in Ballyconneely a 40 min drive away.
Other golf courses close by are Oughterard, Connemara Isle, Barna and Westport.
There is a lovely scenic Pitch and Putt course 15 minutes away
Fishing
Carna Bay Hotel has Free fresh water fishing available to guests at the locally stocked Loch Scanive Lake.
There are numerous spots along the coast for on shore angling and there is deep sea angling available at Roundstone or Clifden which is 30mins away.
Pony Trekking
Pony Trekking is available at ‘The Point’ in Ballyconneely which is 40 minutes away and offer wonderful Treks over white sandy beaches and hills.
Beaches
Our best kept secret in the Carna area are our several white sandy beaches all within a 5 min drive from the hotel. Mynish, Moyrus, Callowfeenish & Feenish Island are fabulous secluded, quiet and safe beaches and discovering them only adds to there appeal.
Walking
We are perfectly located for all types of walking enthusiasts with the Twelve Pins & Maamturk Mountain Ranges, The Connemara Way Walking Trail close by. There are also some lovely local walks near the hotel where you can explore our local beaches, bog lands and flora and fauna.
